We are seeking nominations for the following chapter board positions. If you would like to nominate yourself, please send your name and a <250 word bio to Arta Yazdanseta (firstname.lastname@example.org), who will be coordinating the elections. Please include why you think you are suitable for your selected position and a goal that you would like the chapter to achieve during the new board's two-year period.
If you would like to nominate someone else, please send a name and email address to the same contact (Arta Yazdanseta, email@example.com) ASAP. Individuals that are nominated by others will be notified to determine if they are interested in being a candidate. They will also be asked to provide a <250 word bio and highlight a goal for the Chapter.
All bios are due by July 11th. The election period is from July 15th to July 29th and it is open to all registered Chapter members. The newly-elected board members will be announced and their bios will be posted on the IBPSA-Boston website by August 3rd. All officers will serve a two-year term from August 2015-August 2017.

IBPSA-Boston Officer Roles
President – Focuses the effort of the chapter to support goals and objectives. Leads and coordinates between officers and the Technical Developmental Committee members to collaboratively run the IBPSA-Boston. Responsible for planning all coordination meetings.
Vice President - Acts as "Interim Liason/Secretary" to IBPSA-USA and the chapter’s sponsors. This includes coordinating with IBPSA-USA to guide the chapter through the required protocols, bookkeeping, and securing funding for events.
Secretary - Coordinates traditional chapter communication. This includes publicizing events, requesting speaker proposals, managing the IBPSA-Boston email account, and keeping meeting minutes.
Outreach Chair – Maintains the IBPSA-Boston website (http://boston.ibpsa.us/) and coordinates the audio-visual for events, including web-casting and web-archiving events. No prior experience needed if willing to learn.
Technical Development Committee Member (4 members) – Leads and develops technical content for the chapter’s events, e.g. topics and speakers for events. Each TDC member must lead the planning of one speaker event per year. The committee will support non-TDC chapter members who want to develop an event.
* Members of the board shall attend regularly scheduled coordination meetings that are to be held at least once per month. In-person meetings are to be held twice per year and conference calls are to be held at least once per month.
